In the team competition, 2022 Olympic champions Sinitsina and Katsalapov got married on October 2. Earlier, the skaters announced that they will not participate in the competitions of the first part of the 2022/23 season.
Sinitsina is 27, Katsalapov is 31 years old. Skaters have been performing together since 2014, and as a duet they became world champions (in 2021), two-time European champions (2020, 2022), silver medalists of the 2022 Olympics in dance, winners of the world team championship (2021) . Katsalapov is also the 2014 Olympic champion in team events.
