Khazov appointed head coach of Nizhny Novgorod
st. PETERSBURG, 11 November – RIA Novosti, Dmitry Edigarev. Ravil Izmailov, General Manager of Nizhny Novgorod football club, told RIA Novosti that Anton Khazov will be acting head coach of the team.
Mikhail Galaktionov announced his resignation from the position of coach at a press conference after the match against Akhmat Grozny in the 17th week of the RPL (3:2).
Galaktionov has been working in Nizhny Novgorod since June 2022 and is also the head coach of the Russian youth team. Under his leadership, after 17 rounds, the Nizhny Novgorod team has accumulated 19 points and is in 11th place in the Russian Premier League (RPL). He also chaired Akhmat from 2017 to 2018.
