Nearly 3 million tickets sold for World Cup matches in Qatar
MOSCOW, November 20 – RIA Novosti. According to a report by Agence France-Presse, citing a representative from the International Football Federation (FIFA), nearly 3 million tickets have been sold for the 2022 World Cup matches in Qatar.

By Sunday, 2.95 million tickets had been sold. That’s almost 550,000 more than sold at the 2018 World Championships in Russia. It was noted that most of the tickets were bought by the citizens of Qatar, Saudi Arabia, USA, Mexico, England, United Arab Emirates, Argentina, France, India and Brazil.
The World Cup is held in Qatar from 20 November to 18 December. It was previously reported that FIFA expects revenue of $7.5 billion over the four-year cycle of the tournament.
