Tamgo, two-time world champion in the triple jump, retroactively suspended for one year
MOSCOW, November 21 – RIA Novosti. According to the Athletic Integrity Unit’s (AIU) official website, two-time world triple jump champion Teddy Tamgo of France has been retroactively suspended for one year for violating the competition ban during the suspension.
Tamgo is accused of participating in the competition between 2014 and 2015, when she was suspended for three incidents for not providing information on her whereabouts.
Due to the imposed sanctions, the athlete’s results from March 2015 to March 2016 were canceled, which did not affect the championship titles he won at the world championships in Doha (2010) and Moscow (2013). Tamgo also won a gold medal at the 2011 European Indoor Championships in Paris. In August 2019, the now 33-year-old athlete announced his retirement.
