The tournament started in Doha on Sunday. The daytime temperature in Qatar exceeds 30 degrees. Each arena has a special cooling system that keeps the temperature in the stands and on the playing field below 20 degrees. Many fans complain that they feel cold during the matches and that they need to dress warmer in connection with this.
The World Cup is held for the first time in winter. The tournament was postponed due to the heat experienced in the summer in Qatar. Qatar became the first country in the Arab world to receive the right to host the World Cup.
