The detention is related to the investigation into the holding of more than 100 tenders for the Water Resources Administration in Szczecin, worth about 600 million zloty (more than 130 million dollars). The investigation uncovered violations by PZPN that led to unreasonable commissions in the signing of sponsorship agreements. In March 2021, PZPN headquarters were searched and servers in Tabish’s home containing the organization’s financial records were seized.
