MOSCOW, November 22 – RIA Novosti. Footballer Cristiano Ronaldo says it’s time to look for a new challenge for himself after his contract with Manchester United was terminated.
On Tuesday, Manchester United announced the termination of the contract with Ronaldo by mutual agreement of the parties.
Ronaldo had previously said in an interview with British journalist Piers Morgan that Manchester United had betrayed him. He criticized the club’s management and coaching staff, stating that he did not respect the team’s head coach, Eric ten Hag.
Ronaldo played for Manchester United from 2003 to 2009 before returning to the Mancunian club in the summer of 2021. The 37-year-old Portuguese player made a total of 346 official matches for Manchester United and scored 145 goals in these matches.
