MOSCOW, November 23 – RIA Novosti. Diego Maradona’s son Diego said that his father and Argentine striker Lionel Messi are compared by people who do not understand football.
Argentina’s national team lost 1-2 against Saudi Arabia in the opening match of the World Cup held in Qatar on Tuesday. Messi broke Maradona and Gabriel Batistuta’s Argentina national team record by scoring in his fourth World Cup.
Maradona died on November 25, 2020 at the age of 60. Formerly, the Italian stadium of Napoli, where Maradona was the champion of Italy and the owner of the UEFA Cup, was named after him.
