Iran coach criticizes BBC reporter for questions about the situation in the country

MOSCOW, November 24 – RIA Novosti. The head coach of the Iranian national football team, Carlos Queiroz, criticized the BBC correspondent when asked about the political situation in the country.

During a press conference before the World Cup group stage runoff match in Qatar on Thursday, Queiroz of Portugal was asked a few questions about the political situation in Iran.

“Why don’t you ask these questions to Southgate? The press conference is over, I want to ask you a question. Is it fair to ask the other coaches like that? Why don’t you ask Southgate to withdraw England and United?” States from Afghanistan?” said Queiroz, quoted by the Evening Standard.

Mass riots and protests have continued in Iran since mid-September over the death of Mahsa Amini, a young Iranian woman, after she was detained by the police aide.

The match between Iran and Wales national teams in Group B will be played on Friday. The beginning of the meeting – 13:00 Moscow time.
