“Russia 25” won’t play in Channel One’s December Cup
MOSCOW, November 25 – RIA Novosti. According to the official website of the Russian Hockey Federation (FHR), “Russia 25” will not be featured in Channel One’s December Cup.
The First Channel Cup will be held in Moscow on December 15-18. Teams from Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus will participate in the tournament.
The Chinese team will take the stage in the international tournament in 3v3 format, which will be held as part of the Channel One Cup. For the first time in the history of the first Channel Cup, competitions will be held in this format.
Previously, the Channel One Cup was one of the stages of Eurotour. At the end of February, the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) suspended the Russian and Belarusian national teams from international competitions. In Eurotour stages, the Russian national team was replaced by the Swiss team.
