Lewandowski’s goal helped Poland beat Saudi Arabia in World Cup
DOHA, November 26 – RIA Novosti. The Polish national team defeated the Saudi Arabian team in the second round match of the World Cup group stage held in Qatar.

The match of Group C at the “Education City” stadium ended with the Poles scoring 2:0. The goals were scored by Piotr Zielinski (39th minute) and Robert Lewandowski (82), making it their first match at the World Championship. Zeliński scored for the 10th time for the national team.
In stoppage time for the first half, Saudi Arabian forward Salem al-Dawsari missed a penalty, his shot was saved by Juventus Turin goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny.
Poland national team became the group leader by collecting 4 points. Saudi Arabia (3), Mexico (1) and Argentina (0) are next. Later on Saturday, the Argentines will play the Mexicans. The Poles will face Argentina in the third round on November 30, while the Saudi Arabian team will face Mexico on the same day.
