Ferrari accepts resignation of ‘Formula 1’ team chief Binotto
MOSCOW, November 29 – RIA Novosti. Ferrari official website knowledgeableAccepting the resignation of the head of the “Formula 1” team, Mattia Binotto.
Binotto will officially step down as head of the Italian “stable” on 31 December. It was noted that the search for a new head of Ferrari should be completed next year.
Binotto worked as an engine engineer on the test team for Ferrari in 1995. In the same role, he worked for the Ferrari racing team from 1997 to 2003 during the German Michael Schumacher era. In 2007, Binotto took over the chief engineer of the team, then the assistant manager of technical affairs, and in 2009 he took on the role of technical director. He became head of the engine department in 2013 and became chief technology officer in July 2016. Binotto took over at Ferrari in early 2019, replacing Maurizio Arrivabene.
Ferrari finished second in the Builders’ Championship in 2019, sixth in 2020, third in 2021 and second in 2022.
