DOHA, November 30 – RIA Novosti. The Australian national football team reached the play-offs of the tournament for the first time since 2006, beating Denmark in the third round of the group stage of the World Cup held in Qatar.
Group D match, which was held at the “El Janub” stadium on Wednesday, ended with a score of 1:0 in favor of the Australians. Matthew Lecky scored the only goal in the 60th minute.
