Three-time world champion Pele says he’s in the hospital for a monthly visit
MOSCOW, December 2 – RIA Novosti. Pelé, a three-time world football champion for the Brazilian national team, said he was in the hospital for a monthly visit.
Pele was hospitalized on Tuesday. The Brazilian was diagnosed with heart failure and a generalized swelling of the body, including confusion. Doctors said Pele was taken to the hospital “to reassess the results of chemotherapy treatment for a colon tumor diagnosed in September 2021”. On Wednesday, it was reported that Pele is in stable condition and has been transferred to a normal ward.
Pele also published a photo of two towers in Qatar with his image and health wishes on their facades.
Pele, 82, was hospitalized twice at the Albert Einstein Clinic in 2022 for interventions related to the treatment of three malignant tumors (bowel, liver, and lung) and a urinary tract infection.
