MOSCOW, December 3 – RIA Novosti. Russian striker Artem Dzyuba called the Polish team “cattle” for refusing to play a play-off match with the Russian national team in the World Cup qualifiers in Qatar.
The Russian men’s team was supposed to play with the Polish team in the semi-finals of the play-off tournament on March 24 in Moscow in order to qualify for the 2022 World Cup final, but the national team was suspended from the matches due to the situation. The Ukrainian Polish, Czech Republic and Swedish football federations also refused to play with the Russian team. The Poles automatically reached the final of the “crossroads”, where they beat the Swedes.
At the World Cup held in Qatar, the Poles played in fours with the teams of Argentina, Mexico and Saudi Arabia, and finished the play-offs in the second place, where they will face the French team in the 1/8 finals.
