The head of the avant-garde Krylov council opposed the tightening of the legionnaire limit in the KHL.
OMSK, December 5 – RIA Novosti, Andrey Senchenko. Avangard Omsk chairman Alexander Krylov opposed imposing a strict limit on foreign players in the Continental Hockey League (KHL).
It was previously reported that from the 2023/24 season, clubs will not have more than three foreign hockey players in their applications. The head of the KHL, Alexei Morozov, announced that the decision to tighten the foreign player limit has not yet been made. In the current season, clubs can include up to five foreign players in their match application.
He also noted that the decision to terminate the contract with striker Dmitry Shevchenko was made by the club’s new general manager, Rashid Khabibulin.

“This is the job of the new general manager. He sees some changes in the composition, let’s let him work. I will not even comment on what positions we need to strengthen. Because there are special people on the staff. It is the club that does it. Let them work quietly” – added Krylov.
