“I will not continue to work as the head coach of the national team. This is my last game. I leave behind a great team. “We couldn’t find an idle player in possession in the first half. At halftime, I tried to reverse it with 4-3-3, 4-4-1-1 and then 4-. 4-2. Nothing to criticize the players. From 0:2 It’s great to win back,” said the coach.

Van Gaal, 71, took over the Dutch national team for the third time in his career in August 2021. The specialist previously coached the national team from 2000 to 2002 and from 2012 to 2014. He led the Dutch to bronze medals at the 2014 World Championships.

After the World Cup to be played in Qatar in April, it was reported that Ronald Koeman will head the Dutch national team, and his contract will continue until the 2026 World Cup.
