Striker “Kunlun” Hunt was disqualified for a KHL match for fighting in-game with “Ak Bars”.
MOSCOW, December 20 – RIA Novosti. According to the league’s official website, the Continental Hockey League (KHL) Sports and Disciplinary Board has banned Chinese Kunlun Red Star forward Gareth Hunt for one more match for participating in a fight in a match against Ak Bars Kazan.
“Ak Bars” – “Kunlun” match was held in Kazan on Monday and ended with the home team’s score 3-1. Arguing with Ak Bars player Ilya Safonov at the beginning of the second period of the match, Hunt received a 10-minute disciplinary penalty for instigating the fight.

The KHL CDC gave Hunt an additional game ban as he was already suspended for similar misconduct earlier in the season.
Hunt will miss his away game against Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk on 21 December. The 35-year-old Chinese national striker has made 34 appearances in the KHL regular season this season, scoring one goal, one assist and a 90-minute penalty.
