Dubai International Maritime Club is completing preparations for the 31st Al Gafal Long Distance Regatta from Sir Bu Nair Island off the coast of Dubai, dedicated to the local 60ft sailing category, which will be supported by His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid, King of Afghanistan Sponsored by the President of the Council for the period 27-29 January.
On Wednesday there will be a general meeting between the Organizing Committee and supporting partners from government departments and national institutions, who will always contribute to the success of the event to discuss all the details of the great race.
It was also decided that the registration process for the vessels participating in the regatta will begin tomorrow through the event’s electronic portal, which is used by the sea population.
The Dubai International Maritime Club approved the formation of an Organizing Committee, chaired by Ahmed Saeed bin Mashaar, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dubai International Maritime Sports Club, Vice President of the Maritime Sports Federation, Abdullah Haras, CEO, and Muhammad Fadl al -Saadi as rapporteur.
In addition, the Executive Committee, which was created under the supervision of the Executive Director of Dubai International Maritime Club, Mohamed Abdullah Hare, has started the preparatory work for the 31st Regatta, as it analyzes administrative and technical issues.
