Post: RFU plans to motivate Russian coaches

RFU head announces research work to motivate coaches

MOSCOW, December 23 – RIA Novosti, Vasily Bogdanov. RFU President Alexander Dyukov said that the Russian Football Union (RFU), which is studying the reform of compensation payments to schools and coaches that train players, is conducting research studies that will motivate experts to improve the individual qualities of athletes.

On Friday, the RFU’s executive board supported a proposal to reform compensation payments to schools and coaches who train players. Special arrangements will be adopted at the next meeting of the executive committee.

“Besides motivation, we also attach great importance to the development of our coaches. Child coaches aim for the team results on which their pay depends. As (Leonid) Fedun said, their aim is not to impose a condition (Roman) Zobnin, but to get the maximum from the team and get the budget. “The system is vicious. We have conducted research studies to motivate coaches to improve the individual qualities of the athletes. We hope that other sports will also support us.” Dyukov told reporters.

“Another motivation is monetary. If a coach receives bonuses based on the athletes he trains for the major leagues, his motivation will change. We have considered various options to increase these payouts, including training coaches,” Dyukov said.
