Deschamps says five French players are not at World Cup final level
MOSCOW, January 7 – RIA Novosti. France’s coach Didier Deschamps said that five players of the French team were not at the level of the World Cup final held in Qatar.
The French team lost to Argentina in the World Cup final (3:3, 2:4 on penalties).
On Saturday, the French Football Federation (FFF) announced that Deschamps has extended his contract until 2026.
Deschamps took over the French national team in 2012. Under his leadership, the French became world champions (2018) and European champions (2016), winning the UEFA Nations League in the 2020/21 season.
