For the first time in the current season of the KHL “Ak Bars” beat “Siberia”
MOSCOW, January 9 – RIA Novosti. Kazan “Ak Bars” for the first time this season beat Novosibirsk “Siberia” in the regular season of the Continental Hockey League (KHL).

The match, which took place in Novosibirsk on Monday, ended after a penalty shootout with a score of 3:2 (0:1, 1:1, 1:0, 0:0, 1:0) in favor of the guests. Alexander Radulov (28 minutes) and Vasily Tokranov (47 minutes) scored goals for the winners, and Dmitry Voronkov scored the winning bullet. Hosts Nikita Korotkov (15) and Alexander Sharov (22) scored.
Striker “Siberia” Taylor Beck had 44 points (12 goals + 32 assists) and two assists in 50 games, setting a new personal record for the season. The previous success was 43 (16+27) points in 56 games in the 2020/21 regular season with Metallurg Magnitogorsk. Additionally, Beck repeated the “Siberian” club record for assists in one regular season. Finn Jori Lechtera provided the same number of assists in the 2013/14 season and Jarno Koskiranta in the 2014/15 season.
Sharov scored the 22nd goal, repeating the club record in a single regular season – Evgeny Lapin scored the same number of goals in the 2008/09 season.
Ak Bars extended their winning streak to four games. This season “Sibir” and “Ak Bars” played each other three times, two wins in the assets of the Novosibirsk team – 4:2 and 6:3.
