Tennis player Polina Kudermetova managed to qualify for the main draw of the Australian Open.
MOSCOW, January 12 – RIA Novosti. Russian tennis player Polina Kudermetova participated in the main draw of the Australian Open.
In the qualifying final, Kudermetova defeated the US representative Eizha Mohammed with a score of 6:4, 6:2. The duration of the match was 1 hour 16 minutes.

Another Russian woman, Erika Andreeva, lost 2:6, 3:6 in 1 hour 30 minutes to Czech Sarah Beylek.
Russia will be represented by 14 tennis players in the main draw of the tournament. Eighth-placed country’s first racket, Daria Kasatkina, will play with her compatriot Varvara Gracheva at the start of the Australian Open.
The main games of the first Grand Slam tournament of the season will be played on the Melbourne courts from 16-29 January.
