Vyalbe said that FLGR is examining the option of organizing joint races with biathletes.
SYKTYVKAR, January 15 – RIA Novosti, Pavel Levkovich. Elena Vyalbe, President of the Russian Ski Racing Federation (FLGR), told reporters that she wants to organize joint events with the Russian Biathlon Union.
Russian skiers, biathletes are banned from participating in international competitions due to events in Ukraine.
“If we talk about today, I liked (Natalya) Nepryaeva and (Alexander) Terentyev in the sprint. Everything was fine, there was a struggle – this is important. Leaders are not allowed to slack. I also felt sorry for Nikita Rodionov. Who broke the stick today. Unfortunately “in distant loops Noone was there. And now they found out that he did not break it – the cord just came off. Had he known this, he would have put it back and run. (Savely) I know Korostelev got off, but I didn’t ask why. I just asked why you’re planning so you’ll be running in rows here. I won’t tell you the answer,” he told FLGR.
Vyalbe also said that he understands the anger of skier Alexei Shemyakin for failing to place in the top three in the separate 15km freestyle race at the Russian Cup stage in Syktyvkar. “Shemyakin was offended because he was fourth, I understand him very well. He was third in the preliminary results, but they were counted from the chip. This is not considered an official result. According to official data, he is a little behind. Ilya (Poroshkin)”, he concluded.
