Chelsea have announced the signing of Ukraine national team player Mudryk from Shakhtar.
MOSCOW, January 15 – RIA Novosti. English football club “Chelsea” on the official website announced About the transfer of the midfielder of the Ukrainian national team, Mykhailo Mudryk, from Shakhtar.
The 22-year-old’s deal with the London club is designed for eight and a half years. As reported on Shakhtar’s official website, the transfer amount will be 70 million euros, with 30 million euros being awarded as bonuses.
Mudryk broke the transfer record for players from the post-Soviet space in 2006 when he moved from Italian Milan to Chelsea for 43.8 million euros (according to the Transfermarkt portal) by another Ukrainian, Andriy Shevchenko.
The deal was also a record deal for Shakhtar – previously the Pitmen’s most expensive sale was Brazilian midfielder Fred, who moved to England’s Manchester United in 2018 for 59m euros.
Mudryk has made 18 appearances, scored 10 goals and provided 8 assists in Shakhtar’s 18 games in all competitions this season.
