At the end of the second period of the game, Zadorov faced Tampa forward Nick Paul hard and knocked him down. Moments later, the Russian struck another Lightning striker, Canadian Corey Perry, from the back with a stick, and a fight ensued between the two players. The fight soon grew into a mass fight. According to his results, Zadorov was penalized with a small fine for rudeness, and Nick Paul and Calgary forward Dillon Dube were also penalized by two minutes. Perry was given a 2+10 penalty.
