Russian MMA fighter Ankalaev takes second place in top UFC light heavyweight rankings
MOSCOW, January 24 – RIA Novosti. According to the promotion’s official website, Russian mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Magomed Ankalaev has moved from third to second in the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s (UFC) updated ranking of the best light heavyweights.
Dagestan’s Brit Muhammed Mokaev placed 12th (13th) in the flyweight division, and Russian Tagir Ulanbekov 14th (15th) in the same weight category.
Regardless of the weight category (P4P), the new aviator champion Brandon Moreno from Mexico moved up six places to ninth, and before that the new champion of the light heavyweight division Jamal Hill (USA) was absent from the list, in 13th place.
Former number one P4P American Jon Jones climbed from 12th to 11th on the eve of his heavyweight debut.
