Former skaters Radford and Korpi join the jury to determine the winners of the ISU award
MOSCOW, January 25 – RIA Novosti. Two-time world figure skating champion Canadian Eric Radford and European Championship winner Finn Kiira Korpi are on the jury that will determine the winners of the International Skating Union (ISU) award. reported on the organization’s website.
ISU Councilor Hungarian György Elek was appointed as chairman. The jury also included Japanese Miki Ando, French Surya Bonaly, British Christopher Dean and American Todd Eldridge.
The long list of nominees for the ISU Skating Awards has been announced before. The list of nominees in the category “Most Valuable Skater” includes the 2022 Olympic champion in figure skating, Anna Shcherbakova. American Olympic champion Nathan Chen, Japanese Olympic silver medalist Yuma Kagiyama, Japanese Olympic bronze medalist Riu Miura and Ryuichi Kihara, French Olympic champion Gabriela Papadakis / Guillaume Sizeron, Japanese Olympic bronze medalist Kari Sakamoto, Olympic bronze medalist Chinese champion Sui Wenjin /Han Cong and Japanese Olympic bronze medalist Shoma Uno.
The third ISU Skating Awards will be held on February 5, 2023. The award will be given at the end of two seasons.
