The Modern Pentathlon Federation has made great strides in gaining local strategic support from sports bodies, institutions and councils represented by National Olympic Committee members in the top category and the endorsement of the Abu Dhabi and Dubai Sports Councils. Support the Federation’s efforts to publicize and promote the game and attract the best elements to participate in its competitions.
Al-Matroushi explained that the federation’s efforts continue to hold joint meetings with a group of federations and local clubs and tend to seek external experts, mainly Arabs, to further enhance the national capacity for management, training and refereeing. will hold a series of contests. In fact, we started to form several teams with a group of supporting clubs and sports federations.
He explained: “Many sports federations have expressed their full willingness to provide all aspects of support, support and assistance in selecting qualified players for modern pentathlon, most notably the swimming federation.”
He underlined the federation’s desire to encourage clubs to form modern pentathlon teams (youth and women’s), and consider their suggestions regarding the format of the competitions to be held, stating that several clubs have shown great enthusiasm. He pointed out that the use of vast experience is a necessity at the beginning of the implementation of the game in the Emirates and that is why the federation intends to sign a series of cooperation agreements with the Arab federations that have a lot in this sport.
He explained: “We are signing a collaboration agreement with the Egyptian Federation of Modern Pentathlon, which won the award for the best federation in the world in 2022 and has organized many important tournaments, including the World Championships. Let us take advantage of their technical and administrative experience to contribute to the improvement of our sports team and to the dissemination of the game”.
