Rotenberg: Russian team ready to return to international tournaments and beat Canadians
st. PETERSBURG, January 25 – RIA Novosti, Dmitry Edigarev. First Vice-President of the Russian Hockey Federation (FHR), Roman Rotenberg, told reporters that the Russian national ice hockey team is ready to return to international competitions and beat the Canadian national team.
On Wednesday, it was learned that the Executive Committee of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) will consider the issue of admission to international tournaments with the neutral status of Russian athletes who do not support special operations in Ukraine.
Earlier, the IOC recommended that international sports federations not allow Russian and Belarusian athletes to compete due to the situation in Ukraine. A number of international federations followed the recommendations, others allowed athletes on neutral status.
