Biathlete Latypov wins the collective exit in the fifth stage of the Commonwealth Cup in Raubichi
MINSK, January 29 – RIA Novosti. Russian biathlete Eduard Latypov became the winner of the collective exit at the fifth stage of the Commonwealth Cup held in the Belarusian Olympic training center Raubichi.
Latypov covered the distance of 15 km in 33 minutes 59.6 seconds and did not allow a single miss in all four firing lines. Russia’s Daniil Serokhvostov took second place (late – 29.6 s; 3 misses). Belarusian Anton Smolsky is in third place (+29.8 seconds; 2 hit losses).
The fifth stage of the Commonwealth Cup, held in Raubichi with the participation of athletes from Russia and Belarus, will end on January 29.
The Congress of the International Biathlon Union (IBU) in September decided to approve the ban of Russian and Belarusian athletes from international competitions until further notice due to the situation in Ukraine.
