Onet: Polish footballer Lewandowski to sue ex-manager in blackmail case

In October 2020, it was reported that Kucharski used “criminal threats” to pressure Lewandowski to take 20m euros from him. The representative demanded payment for not disclosing certain proprietary information about the forward that could damage its reputation. Kukharsky was subsequently arrested on suspicion of extortion.
According to the position of the representative’s lawyer, there are allegations of violence against Lewandowski that will be made public during the interview in response to the blackmail allegations. The hearing will be held in a public format. The parties could not reach an agreement in the pre-trial proceedings.
Earlier, Kucharski sued the Polish football player’s marketing company. The representative claimed that Lewandowski and his wife Anna illegally withdrew several million euros from the joint company spent on travel. Kucharski sought damages of approximately PLN 39 million, the equivalent of approximately 9 million euros.
One of Lewandowski’s representatives, Kukharsky played a key role in the forward’s move to Borussia Dortmund in 2010.
