VG: “Krasnodar” has to pay 500,000 euros to former Bothheim club’s player by FIFA decision
MOSCOW, February 8 – RIA Novosti. The International Football Federation (FIFA) has rejected Krasnodar’s complaint about Norwegian football player Eric Botheim, who unilaterally terminated his contract with the club. informs Norwegian edition of VG.
Botheim moved to Krasnodar in December 2021 and did not play a single official match for the Russian club. Following the start of the SVO, he suspended his contract with Krasnodar and then terminated it, taking advantage of FIFA’s permission. In July, the striker became a player for Italian Salernitana.
VG also writes that FIFA has ordered Krasnodar to pay Botheim 500,000 euros. Otherwise, the Russian club may be prohibited from registering new players for three transfer periods. Krasnodar has 10 days to appeal the decision.
