CSKA coach Fedorov expressed his condolences on the death of Mikhail Ovechkin.
MOSCOW, February 15 – RIA Novosti, Andrey Senchenko. Three-time Stanley Cup winner Sergei Fedorov expressed his condolences on the death of Mikhail Ovechkin, father of Russian Washington Capitals hockey player Alexander Ovechkin.
Ovechkin Sr. died in Moscow at the age of 72. The hockey player himself announced the death of his father earlier on Wednesday.
As a football player, Mikhail Ovechkin played in the reserve team of Dynamo Moscow. After completing his sports career, he took up coaching.
