Saudi Arabia will host the ninth men’s and fourth women’s Rugby Sevens in February 2024.
This happened during the regular meetings of the General Assembly of the Arab Federation, chaired by Qais Al-Dalai, at the Hotel Ayla Grand Al-Ain, this being the first meeting of the General Assembly after the “Corona Pandemic”.
The meeting was chaired by the president of the federation Kais Al-Daley in the presence of representatives of 12 national federations: Abdulaziz Abu Khalaf, Mustafa Al-Houthi from Libya, Ahmed Madani from Syria, Ali Al-Dihan from Saudi Arabia, Morocco. Rashid Mokadi, Osama Hussein of Sudan and Mohammed Sultan Al-Zaabi, Secretary General of the Emirates Federation.
The meeting discussed the report of the Executive Committee on the work of the Federation in the past period and its approval, approval of the minutes of the previous meeting of the Executive Committee and the date and place of the next meeting of the General Assembly. At the suggestion of the members of the executive committee, they discussed the international suspension of Morocco and ways to solve the problem they face at the international and continental level.
Mohammed Sultan Al Zaabi welcomed those present to his second country and highlighted that the choice to host the Arab Championship in Al Ain follows the success it had in hosting the last round of the Asian Championship, in addition to hosting the Asian qualifiers, being one of the outstanding tourist destinations for all delegations. , wishes all teams a good stay in the UAE.
