Former figure skater Bestemyanova believes Trusova lost because she missed the Grand Prix Final
St. Petersburg, February 24 – RIA Novosti, Dmitry Edigarev. Olympic Games champion and silver medalist Natalya Bestemyanova in ice dancing told RIA Novosti that figure skater Alexandra Trusova’s absence from the Russian Grand Prix Final is a loss for the athlete.
Earlier, honored figure skating coach of the USSR Tatyana Tarasova told RIA Novosti that Trusova was withdrawn from the Russian Grand Prix Final due to back problems.
The 18-year-old figure skater took part in two stages of the Grand Prix this season. The athlete withdrew from the Russian championship, which took place at the end of December, due to illness.
The final of the Russian Grand Prix will be held on March 4-5 in St. It will be held in St. Petersburg.
