The Athletic: ‘Columbus’ hockey player to trade Gavrikov to ‘Los Angeles’
MOSCOW, March 1 – RIA Novosti. The National Hockey League’s (NHL) Columbus Blue Jackets will trade Russian defender Vladislav Gavrikov to the Los Angeles Kings in exchange for goalkeeper Jonathan Quick. informs Athletic.
Earlier, the NHL club had announced that it was negotiating a trade of Gavrikov to another team. In this regard, the 27-year-old Russian was excluded from the Columbus bid for NHL regular season games.
Goalkeeper Joonas Korpisalo is reportedly going to the Kings with Gavrikov. Columbus will also receive first and third round selections.
Gavrikov was selected by Columbus in the sixth round of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. As part of the Russian national team, the defender became the Olympic champion of the Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea, twice winning bronze medals at the world championships.
Gavrikov has scored 10 points (3 goals + 7 assists) in 52 games this season.
