Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Lunev banned from Europa League due to injury
MOSCOW, March 6 – RIA Novosti, Vasily Bogdanov. Russian football player Anton Smirnov’s representative told RIA Novosti that German “Bayer” goalkeeper Andrei Lunev has withdrawn from the Europa League application due to injury.
The 31-year-old goalkeeper has not been in the squad since the end of January due to a back injury. In the 1/8 finals of the Europa League, Leverkusen will face Hungarian Ferencváros, led by Russian coach Stanislav Cherchesov.
Lunev in July 2021 at Zenit St. Petersburg to Bayer. He played one match in the German championship this season.
