Hockey club “Spartak” will have a new head coach next season
MOSCOW, March 7 – RIA Novosti. Roman Belyaev, sports director of the Continental Hockey League (KHL) club, told reporters that the leadership of Moscow “Spartak” has decided that next season the team will be led by a new coach.
During the season, Spartak left two head coaches. The club started the regular season with Boris Mironov, whose contract was terminated on 10 November. On November 12, “red-white” was led by Igor Grishin. The specialist voluntarily left the team on February 5, after which Alexei Zavarukhin was appointed acting head coach.
Based on regular season results, Spartak finished ninth in the Western Conference standings and failed to make the playoffs.
