UFC champion Makhachev: I think my next opponent will be Beneil Dariush
MOSCOW, March 15 – RIA Novosti. Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Lightweight Champion Islam Makhachev declarationthat he expected to meet with an Iranian-American Beneil Dariush in the next fight.
In February, Mahachev defeated league belt holder Alexander Volkanovski in the featherweight division in a unanimous decision to defend his title for the first time.
“We talked to Dana White and Sean Shelby. They said they wanted to see me in Abu Dhabi (at the October tournament). I thought they would arrange a fight for me in July, maybe August, but they wanted me to have a good day. I think Dariush wanted Charles Oliveira. I will beat him and be my next opponent.”
