At the end of the competitions on the first day of the tournament, Sharjah Self-Defense Sports Club managed to take the lead while UAEJJ Arena Academy finished second and Palms Sports third.
In this regard, Mohammed Salem Al Dhaheri said: “The participation of hundreds of children and friends in the Ju-Jitsu tournaments organized by the Federation in conjunction with the Abu Dhabi Professional Ju-Jitsu Association reflects the growing level of public awareness, especially among families, about the importance of this sport in preparing strong and capable generations with the highest level of responsibility and self-confidence. This participation also strengthens Abu Dhabi’s position as the global capital of Jiu-Jitsu and the biggest developer of the sport in the world.
He added that “in recent years, almost none of our tournaments have remained without competition in the children’s category, in line with the plans and strategy of the federation to focus on Sunni youth groups, on their development and talent improvement, which contributes to preparing the next generation of champions.”
Al Dhaheri praised the role of families in encouraging children to take up jiu-jitsu and benefit from a sporting environment that gives players the skills to grow and develop, praising the role of clubs and academies in continuing to develop the game at a local level. and international. levels
The competitions on the first day of the tournament were marked by great enthusiasm and mourning, amid applause from the public and from the streets, who turned out en masse to support children in the sport of high-level professional jiu-jitsu.
