CSKA came back with 0:2 and defeated Lokomotiv in the second match of the 1/4 final series of the Gagarin Cup.
MOSCOW, March 19 – RIA Novosti. CSKA defeated Lokomotiv Yaroslavl in the second match of the second round of the Continental Hockey League (KHL) playoffs.
The match in Moscow ended 3:2 (0:1, 2:1, 1:0) in favor of the hosts. Among the winners, Maxim Mamin (35 minutes), Darren Dietz (36) and Mikhail Grigorenko (44) scored goals. Guests recorded Denis Alekseev (4) and Maxim Berezkin (33).

CSKA forward Sergei Plotnikov played his 800th KHL game, becoming the seventh player in league history to reach that point. He was injured during the call and did not go on the ice in the third period. His teammate Vladislav Kamenev provided an assist and scored the 100th point in the KHL. Lokomotiv forward Maxim Shalunov made his 100th game in the league playoffs.
The series went up to four victories and the score was 2-0 in favor of CSKA. The third and fourth matches of the match will be played on 21 and 23 March in Yaroslavl. For the third time in a row, the teams meet in the KHL playoffs, in both previous cases the army team won – in the quarterfinals of the Gagarin Cup in the 2020/21 season (4-3) and a year later in the first round (4-0).
