MOSCOW, March 20 – RIA Novosti. NHL official website reporter Tom Gulitti said on Twitter that Washington Capitals Russian forward Evgeny Kuznetsov will be out of the field for several days with an upper body injury.
Kuznetsov did not attend the team’s practice session on Monday, but the sessions were not mandatory.
On Sunday, Kuznetsov was injured in the regular season game against Minnesota (3:5). The forward was hit hard by Wild defender Matthew Damba in the third period. Rus was defended by teammate TJ Oshi, who got into a fight with Damba. After the fall, Kuznetsov could not get off the ice for a long time and ended the meeting ahead of schedule.
Kuznetsov has scored 51 points (12 goals + 39 assists) in 70 games this season.
