MOSCOW, March 22 – RIA Novosti, Svetlana Bonopartova. Alexandra Stepanova and Ivan Bukin, two-time Russian champions in figure skating, moved to the Alexander Zhulin group to win the Olympics, Natalya Bestemyanova, champion of the Olympic Games and silver medalist in ice dancing, told RIA Novosti.
On Wednesday, Zhulin told RIA Novosti that Stepanova and Bukin have joined the coaching group. Previously, athletes trained in the group of Irina Zhuk and Alexander Svinin.
Stepanova and Bukin won the European Championship five times. At the Beijing Olympics, the duet took sixth place. They’re missing this season due to a partner’s back injury.
