Corriere dello Sport: Former Juventus player Dybala wants to sue club for 54m euros
MOSCOW, March 23 – RIA Novosti. Roma’s Argentine football player Paulo Dybala plans to sue Turin’s Juventus team for salary debts and failure to renew his contract. Corriere dello Sport.
In the fall of 2021, the parties agreed in principle to extend the contract, but in April the club refused to continue cooperation. According to the source, the forward is seeking compensation for the pay gap between the failed five-year contract extension with Juventus and the current deal with Roma, which is designed for three seasons.
Dybala also plans to sue the Turin club for salary debts in excess of 3m euros that he had accumulated under a collusion with players during the pandemic. The total amount of compensation could reach 54 million euros.
In January, it was reported that Portuguese football player Cristiano Ronaldo could sue Juventus for the club’s failure to pay around 20m euros.
Dybala is 29 years old. He joined Juventus from Italian side Palermo in 2015. The Argentine is five times Italian champion with the Turin team, won the Country Cup four times and the Italian Super Cup three times.
