TEHRAN, March 23 – RIA Novosti, Alexander Govorov. Valery Karpin, head coach of the Russian national football team, told reporters that he did not like the team’s play at all after scoring a goal in a friendly match with the Iranian team.
The match held in Tehran on Thursday ended with a score of 1-1. Both goals in the match came from penalties. Taking the lead with Anton Miranchuk (28th minute) in the first half, the Russians equalized with Mehdi Taremi at the beginning of the second half (47).
