Former skier Natalia Shevchenko won her second race at the Russian Biathlon Championship
HANTI-MANSIYSK, March 28 – RIA Novosti. Switching from cross-country skiing to biathlon in 2022, Natalia Shevchenko became the winner of the pursuit race at the Russian Championship held in Khanty-Mansiysk.
The winner covered the 10 km distance in 33 minutes 48.7 seconds with a miss in all four firing lines. Second was Ekaterina Noskova (1 minute 5.4 seconds delay; 3 misses). Victoria Slivko closed the top three (+1.12.8; 3).
Previously, the 22-year-old Shevchenko had been the best in sprint racing at the Russian Championship.
The September Congress of the International Biathlon Union (IBU), amid the situation in Ukraine, decided to approve the exclusion of Russian and Belarusian athletes from international competitions until further notice.
