Coach Bazarevich left the basketball club “Samara” by mutual agreement of the parties.
MOSCOW, March 29 – RIA Novosti. Basketball club “Samara” official website announced the termination of the contract with the head coach of the team, Sergei Bazarevich.
The 58-year-old specialist’s contract was terminated by agreement of the parties. Led by Bazarevich, Samara finished the regular season of the VTB United League in tenth place with 13 wins in 32 matches. The team failed to qualify for the playoffs of the tournament.
Bazarevich presided over Samara last summer. Previously, he headed the Russian national team for five years, when he reached the semi-finals of EuroBasket 2017 and reached the final stage of the 2019 World Cup. The specialist also coached Samara clubs Krasnye Krylia and CSK VVS.
