Tretyak considers IOC recommendations to discriminate against hockey players
MOSCOW, March 29 – RIA Novosti, Andrey Senchenko. Russian Hockey Federation (FHR) President Vladislav Tretyak told reporters that he considers the recommendations of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as discrimination against athletes.
On Tuesday, the IOC executive committee advised international federations to allow Russians who do not support the special operation in Ukraine to begin as neutral athletes. At the same time, the organization recommends that athletes affiliated with the armed forces and security services not be allowed to compete. It was also decided that the Russian and Belarusian teams would not be able to participate in international tournaments.
