Honored coach Tarasova believes that the Russians should play in a neutral status
st. PETERSBURG, March 30 – RIA Novosti, Dmitry Edigarev. Honored Coach of the USSR Tatyana Tarasova told RIA Novosti that Russian athletes should go to international competitions in neutral status.
On Tuesday, the IOC executive committee recommended that international federations allow Russians who do not support the CBO to begin as neutral athletes. Eligibility criteria will be determined by the IFs. According to the recommendations of the IOC, they should especially take into account the public statements of the athletes, their participation in the rallies, the display of symbols supporting the CBO.
Among other things, the IOC recommended that athletes associated with the armed forces and security services be excluded from the competition. It was also decided that teams from Russia and Belarus cannot be accepted as participants in international competitions.
